Marathi film Raanu, which is produced by Swapna Kadam and written-directed by Kayyum Qazi veers around sports. It talks about sports in most of the cities is still treated as secondary. 'Raanu' is a story of a girl athlete who somehow struggles to come first in the race. How she achieve her goals is something one has to watch in the theatres. The story in a subtle way highlights the responsibility of the parents who children want to pursue her/his career in sports.
The film stars Milind Shinde, Gayatri Soham, Anwesha Mhaiskar, Sandesh Gaikwad, Smita Prabhu, Mayur Bhatkar, Tanvi Nade, Ishwari Thorat, Aditi Sawant etc.
Interestingly, Swapna has recently won an award for Emerging and Youth Enterprise by Global Leaders Awards. The ceremony was organised at Azerbaijan, Europe.
Ranu will hit the theatres on November 15.
