Prasad Oak hails Vikram Gokhale for donating his land to Marathi entertainment industry

Marathi cinema's popular actor-director Prasad Oak took to his Instagram handle to praise veteran actor Vikram Gokhale for donating his land worth Rs 2.5 crore to support senior and solitary artists of Marathi entertainment industry.
Prasad wrote "विक्रम गोखले"हे माझे "देव" आहेत असं मी कायम म्हणतो. आज त्यांचं देवत्व पुन्हा एकदा सिद्ध झालं. त्यांच्या मालकीच्या जागेतली 2 एकर जागा त्यांनी 'अखिल भारतीय मराठी चित्रपट महामंडळ', 'नाट्यपरिषद', आणि CINTAA या संस्थांना देऊ केली आहे.( दान या शब्दाचा त्यांनाच खूप राग आहे )."
"पण या क्रियेमागची भावना ही "जबाबदारी"ची आहे हे सगळ्यात महत्त्वाचं. ज्या लोकांसोबत मी इतकी वर्षे काम केलं..ज्यांच्यामुळे मी जगलो..त्यांच्यासाठी काहीतरी ठोस करणं ही माझी "जबाबदारी" आहे, "कर्तव्य" आहे असं ते म्हणाले. त्यांच्या अभिनयाच्या वारशा सोबत ही जबाबदारीची जाणीव सुद्धा आमच्यात रुजावी.. त्यांच्याइतकं काम करण्याची ताकद आमच्यात यावी.. आणि कमावल्यानंतर तितकंच देण्याची त्यांच्यातली ही दानत आमच्यातही यावी हीच त्या नटराजाच्या चरणी प्रार्थना...!!!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Prasad's last directorial film 'Hirkani' did well on the box-office. It featured Sonalee Kulkarni in the titular role of 'Hirkani', a brave woman and an amazing mother who lived near the Raigad Fort in Maharashtra during the regime Chhatrapati Shivaji.
It also features stars like Prasad Oak, Ameet Khedekar, and Makrand Deshpande in key roles. The film was released on 24th October 2019.
