' and she credits Bhushan for making her comfortable in the role. “Bhushan is a professional and a total gentleman. He talks a lot on the sets. My first romantic film was with him and I remember telling him that I don’t know how to be romantic on screen. But he made me comfortable in front of the camera and our scenes were shot so beautifully that people thought we were dating in real life,” laughs Pallavi. Ask her who she wants to work with in the future and she replies, “I would love to work with Lalit Prabhakar and Amey Wagh. As for roles, I want to do substantial roles like Mukta tai (Mukta Barve) does.”



Due to her quiet nature, Pallavi is often perceived to be egoistic by many. However, Pallavi clears the air saying, “I am not egoistic! I am just an introvert. I talk less and that, I think, has led to creating this impression about me.”

Pallavi, who hails from Jalgaon, tells us that her parents supported her dreams of becoming an actor and she never had to struggle on that front. “My father is a farmer and my mom, a homemaker. They never stopped me from pursuing a career in acting. My mother used to tell me that it doesn’t matter where you come from; your dreams should be big, and you should work hard to achieve them,” says Pallavi adding, who has seen the struggle of farmers in her village and says she realised the value of hard work from there.

The actress says she would like to be a part of a film that highlights what the situation of farmers in the country. "Although a lot of films on the plight of farmers have been made in the Marathi film industry, I don’t mind working in a film that highlights what they deal with. From Vidarbha to Marathwada, or anywhere across the country, I feel we need to empathise with them and artistes have to keep telling their stories,” says Pallavi adding, "My parents are not forcing me to get married now but they know one day I will get married. It can be arranged or love marriage. My parents are quite chill about things. They trust me. I feel it is a great time to be an actor today as even after marriage, actresses are getting such amazing roles. Look at Priya Bapat, Amruta and others, they are getting meaty roles."
