Parna Pethe appeals everyone to help sanitary workers amid lockdown

While any actors from the industry are extending their helping hand for needy, Parna Pethe is also contributing towards the people who are working during this lock-down to keep us safe. Recently, Parna expressed concern about the waste pickers from the city.
Through her social media post she also appeal everybody to help these waste pickers.

'The lockdown has brought to the fore, the worst plight for thousands of unorganized wage earners such as domestic workers, construction workers, casual and contract workers, migrants, homeless, etc, who are without work and without pay for several days now, and struggling for putting together even a single meal.
It has also brought an extraordinary difficult situation for Pune’s waste workers, who are providing us ‘essential services’ at significant risk of exposure and often without the very basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Their work position doesn't allow them to work from home.
Donated funds will be used to provide the following things-
1) To provide immediate relief in the form of food packets and dry ration.
2) To prepare a data base with the workers' details to ensure that all the policy and programmes made by the centre and state governments from time to time reach the intended beneficiaries.
3) To provide ration kits and Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) to workers around Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
