More than a year later, he will again be seen acting in a Marathi film, this time for Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti’s

Naal

. Interestingly, Sudhakar and Nagraj share a bond since Sairat. “Sudha was the cinematographer of Sairat and has also worked on my short film Pavsacha Nibandh,” shares Nagraj, adding, “He has an eye for detail and I love his work.” Sudhakar is also working on Nagraj’s Hindi directorial Jhund now.

Check out the new song from Naal:

Speaking about how he ended up acting in Naal, Nagraj says, “Actually, we were supposed to start work on this film immediately after Sairat. He had pitched the story to me and I had agreed. But Sudha wanted to start working on the film in May 2016 (Sairat released at the end of April 2016), and I knew it wouldn’t be possible because to some extent, we were expecting a good response to Sairat.”

Of course, the humongous success of Sairat meant their project would get delayed further. “We started late but this was a project I was keen on working on,” shares Nagraj, who is also producing the film.
