Monsoon calls for some food therapy and if you're a foodie at heart, you know the craving for fried food and chai or coffee when it rains.
Sayli Patil is no different. The Ghar Banduk Biryani actress, a Punekar by heart and foodie by the gut, tells us about her favourite things to do during the monsoon.
"I love monsoon road trips to Lonavala, Tamhini etc and no road trip is complete without a plate of vada-pav and some chai on the way"

A whiff of nostalgia
Sayli says that Pune’s rains make her nostalgic. "Monsoon reminds me of the time when I would go shopping for books, bags, and uniforms at Appa Balwant Chowk with my family, right before the new academic year started at school," she shares.
Another big part of her monsoon routine is gorging on delicious food. "Vada-pav at Khatri's stall near Balgandharva bridge, and moong bhajiya or potato bhajiya made by my mother are my favourites. I also love to have tea or coffee. If I'm having tea in the morning, I love to add a spoonful of ghee to it. All my friends find it weird but it's something I have been doing for a long time," she shares.
"Staying in bed, watching the rain and eating piping hot dal-khichadi that my mother makes using Khandeshi masala, and kadhi is another rainy day ritual for me"

Ghee wali chai
"I have a habit of adding a spoon full of ghee to my chai every morning. All my friends find it weird. But that’s something I have been doing for a long time now"Chutti is all about
"Laying in bed in my pyjamas and relish piping hoy mung dal khichadi that my mother makes with the khandeshi masala, with kadhi"Favourite Bollywood rain song
"It has to be rimjhim gire sawan. And I would add a twist to it by recreating it in peth areas, old wadas, and vintage architecture."
