While the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada industries have already bought rights for the same and their films are in the final stages of production and release the Malayalam remake is almost finalised, while the Punjabi remake is being done by the producer of the Marathi film, Amit Bhanushali. He says, We will ourselves make the Punjabi film, but yes, its heartening to note that almost the entire South took interest in our film. To my knowledge, its one of the first Marathi films to be remade in so many languages, and that too by buying the rights. It proves yet again that when you have good content, everybody is interested.
While director Satish Rajwade is happy that his road-trip romcom has been well received by varied film fraternities, Swwapnil Joshi, the lead actor of the film, says, The language of love is universal, and the fact that so many people want to see this film in their own language, is proof of this. Our characters had no names, because we wanted to show that this love story can happen to anyone, anywhere! And this universality has appealed to various regional filmmakers, I guess. As a star in the original film, Id love to see these films in languages other than Marathi."
