Manipur horror: Rajshri Deshpande condemns violence against women; says, 'Couldn’t sleep whole night'

In a shocking incident, the Manipur viral naked parade video, which surfaced recently, has caught the attention of the nation.

The alleged incident took place on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, a day after violence broke out in the northeast state.

Now, Marathi actress Rajshri Deshpande has now expressed their anger and disgust at the horrifying video after it emerged on the internet.

Rajshri wrote, "Couldn’t sleep whole night , the visuals of Manipur was haunting me. I have been dealing with many people specially women who has gone through on ground atrocities, since I am working deeper into the rural villages. I feel devastated every time I am working on that. While working my whole aim is always try and find solutions but I know solutions is slow and for that one needs to work on the root causes. Unfortunately things are entangled since ages and they need immediate action and implementation. Many times it gets so hard that I start to fear of losing myself, but I know I cannot loose faith… not in me and not in the people…"
