National Award-winning filmmaker Gajendra Ahire who is well-known for his Marathi films like 'Pinga', 'Vidyapeeth', 'Saajinde' and among others, recently met acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi for lunch.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Ahire shared a happy picture with Majid Majidi from their meet. This picture of Majid and Gajendra has triggered widespread speculation about a potential project brewing between the two powerhouses.
Check out the picture here: Earlier, Majidi's 'Beyond The Clouds, starring Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan, had operated as the opening film for the 2017 International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
The director, known for movies such as the Oscar-nominated 'Children of Heaven' and 'The Color of Paradise', also shared that he hopes to shoot another film in India after 'Beyond The Clouds' because he values Indian culture and cinema.
