Actor Pruthvi Ambaar who is well known for Kannada and Tulu movies 'Dia', 'Bairagee', 'Aba Jaba Daba' and others, is all set to make his debut in Marathi cinema with K. S. Ashoka's 'Sari' which is a remake of his original Kannada film 'Dia'.
In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Pruthvi Ambaar said, "Firstly, it was our director K. S. Ashoka with whom I have worked a lot. Secondly, Marathi as a language and culture was introduced to me long ago. I hail from Udupi, Karnataka and we have a lot of people who are residing in Mumbai and Pune. So, every summer vacation, I used to be here."
"I have been watching Marathi films like 'Natarang', 'Natsamrat', 'Sairat', and a big fan of writing, nativity and actors from a theatre background. So, I am a big fan of Marathi films. And another thing is the learning experience with these brilliant actors. These people never made me feel that its debut in the Marathi industry. It was a beautiful experience." Pruthvi concluded.
It stars Ajinkya Raut, Mrinal Kulkarni, Ritika Shrotri, along with Pruthvi and will be in theatres on May 5, 2023.
