Sonalee

Since she isn’t going to immerse the Ganpati idol made at home, Sonalee has been doing puja of the tree Ganesha that she has hosted. “Every year, I make it a point to be in Pune for Ganeshotsav. This year, our preparations were on till the previous day of Ganesh Chaturthi. It’s a different experience altogether,” she says.

Sanskruti Balgude

For Sanskruti Balgude, Ganeshotsav means a family reunion. She says, “We host Bappa at my uncle’s place every year. All of us love the festival. Yes, this year’s celebration is quite hatke compared to other times. I will miss participating in the visarjan miravnuk, but right now, it is important to be safe and at home.”

Bhushan Pradhan

Bhushan Pradhan, loves the fervour of Ganeshotsav and makes it a point to celebrate the festival at his Mumbai home every year. However, this year, the grandeur of the celebration will be a little different for him. The actor and his mother Seema are known for making eco-friendly Ganpati idols and nothing changes on that front. This time too, the idol at his home is eco-friendly. What does change is the venue for the home celebration and online aarti for his relatives. “Considering the situation right now, I won’t be celebrating Ganeshotsav in my Mumbai home this time. Instead, I am celebrating the festival in my Pune residence with family,” says Bhushan, who has offered virtual aarti to his relatives.
