Actress Shweta Shinde’s mother’s home in Satara was recently ransacked. Saddened by the shocking incident, the 'Doctor Don' actress tells us, “About 110 grams of gold jewellery and some cash was stolen. While we can buy new jewellery, the memories associated with those cherished heirloom pieces are irreplaceable.”

She also expresses relief that her mother was not at home at the time of the incident. “She is a senior citizen, so I am really worried about her safety now. Most of my shoots take place in Satara, due to which, I spend around 10–15 days in the city. But for the rest of the month, my mother stays alone at home. I assume that the thieves must have kept a watch on us. They opened the cupboard by melting the lock,” she says.

Still in a state of shock, the actress has decided to take precautionary measures by upgrading the surveillance system at home. “I am getting CCTV cameras and security alarms installed at home,” informs Shweta.
