Bhushan is quite excited about his debut Hindi film, Anya, directed by Simmy Joseph, wherein he will be seen along with Raima Sen and Atul Kulkarni. Usually when actors glide towards Bollywood, regional projects become their second priority. Is there any likelihood of such a thing happening in his case? Not known to be a hypocrite, the actor replies, “I already have a couple of Marathi films lined up for release this year including Shinga, but honestly I don’t mind if Marathi films take a backseat now. I’m already late when it comes to entering Bollywood.”
A fitness enthusiast, he has relentlessly worked on his physique for years, but these days Bhushan is also focussed on growing organic food at home. “I stay alone in a flat in Mumbai,” he shares and adds, “Since I don’t have pets at home, I grow almost 90 plants in different pots, which are kept in a passage. I also have plants in every room and I talk to them. They are my babies and add colour to my life. From mulberry to lemons, ginger, chillies, curry leaves and lots of flowers, I grow many things at home and there are mynas, sparrows and crows visiting my every day along with pigeons. I feed all the birds, but honestly, I can’t stand the pigeons because they have killed many of my plants. I have tried all the tricks, including placing a hen’s egg in their nest to confuse them, so that they leave the place. It has worked to an extent, but they still continue to bother me.”
