Following the news about 'Fandry's' win at the 61st National Film Awards, its director who is currently in the US, shared his feelings about the victory. "I am very happy today because of the kind of recognition that 'Fandry' has got. Personally too it is a happy moment for me as I have won the National Award for the second time and that too with a similar combination of awards," said Nagraj.
The director had earlier won the national award for his short film 'Pistulya' and the film's child actor too had bagged an award then.
Nilesh Navalakha, producer of 'Fandry', informed us, "I had called Nagraj a while back and when I told him about the win he said that he is just waiting to fly back to India and will be here as soon as possible." This is the third film from the producers' stables that has shone at the National Awards; 'Shala' and 'Anumati' being the other two.
