While the

entire film industry

has come to a halt due to coronavirus lockdown, the director is working on the script of his upcoming Marathi film.

In an exclusive interview with Etimes, Vaibhav said "I think everyone in the industry has an

ultimate desire

to direct films. 'Pushpak Vimaan' was my first Marathi film as a director. I think the credit goes to Subodh Bhave who came up with such a beautiful story. We received amazing feedback from the audience"

"I am also directing shows on television and also working on the script of my upcoming Marathi film. Whatever work I am doing today that is all because of television."

While speaking on film's content, Vaibhav said "I think all filmmakers in the industry would love to explore all genres. Even I have a desire to explore all types of genres. In case, if I have to choose one genre than I would like to direct a love story"


Talking about his films, Vaibhav Chinchalkar's last released film 'Pushpak Vimaan' did well at the box-office. It featured stars like Subodh Bhave, Mohan Joshi,

Gauri Kiran

and Gouri Mahajan in key roles. The film was released on 3rd August 2018.
