Excerpts from the interview:
How was your 'Prawaas' so far?
The journey was beautiful and absolutely no regret in life as an actor or in any way whatsoever. My film 'Prawaas' is not actually the journey of the couple. It is the journey of an individual and the life of a couple. How they have to cope with so many things in life. It also showcases the issues take place when you reach a particular age. So, basically, it is a beautiful journey of life.
How was your experience shooting for the movie?
Shashank Udarpurka has shot it with great cameras and technical crew and all. We also had an excellent production team.
You have been choosing scripts carefully. Is it a conscious effort?
I have always chosen scripts consciously. I want roles that I can relate to and that can give me satisfaction. I wanted to do a good historical film and I got a role in Ashutosh Gowarikar's 'Panipat' and it was a very good film. There is no dream role that I am waiting for. But, yes, something very different and challenging comes my way, I would love to do.

Your son, Priyank Sharma recently made his debut in Bollywood. The film got a mixed response from the audience. Please comment
Fortunately, Priyank is part of the film industry like parents, sister and brothers are part of this industry. So it didn't come as negative for him, he was appreciated by everyone and that was a very good sign.
Notably, Padmini Kolhapure had won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the revenge drama 'Insaf Ka Tarazu' (1981) at the age of 15.
The girl, who as a child artist, impressed the great showman Raj Kapoor and won a role in 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' in 1977, won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the tragic romance 'Prem Rog' (1983) when she was merely 17.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Padmini Kolhapure's upcoming Marathi film 'Prawaas' directed by Shashank Shashank Udapurkar is set to release on Feb 14, 2020. She will be playing a major role in the film alongside Ashok Saraf and Shashank Udapurkar.
