It's been an eventful 12 months for
Akshay Waghmare and
Yogita Gawli
. The couple, that tied the knot on May 8 last year, became parents to a
girl
on Friday, a day ahead of their first wedding anniversary.
Speaking to us, an elated
Akshay shared, "I am so happy that I cannot express it in words. The feeling is yet to sink in but I am excited to begin the journey of fatherhood. Yogita and the baby are doing fine. The delivery happened at a nursing home in Dadar, Mumbai."
The 'Pavankhind' and 'Youth' actor adds that the arrival of the baby has added to their joy as they get ready to complete one year of marriage. The family has now started thinking of names for the newest member.
