Marathi cinema's popular and young actress Bhagyashree Milind has impressed her audience with her stunning performances over the years. Her brilliant performance in Sameer Vidwans' 'Anandi Gopal' earned her a Best Actress Critics award at the Planet Marathi presents Filmfare Awards Marathi 2020.
While speaking about the same in an exclusive chat with Etimes, Bhagyashree Milind said " It was a surreal experience.
I was not expecting this because the nominees were amazing actresses and they have been working for so many years. But when my name was announced it was completely surreal. Because when I was holding the award, I could not believe that I got this"
"Anandi Gopal is a very special film for me. And getting nominated for the Filmfare is a very big achievement. So, I was very happy" She added.
Talking about the film, 'Anandi Gopal' narrates the story of Anandi Gopal Joshi (Bhagyashree Milind), considered India’s first female doctor. She was born in 1865 and was married off at a young age.
Her husband Gopal Joshi’s (
Lalit Prabhakar) resolute wish to get his wife educated, opened up avenues for Anandi to study fearlessly and break social taboos.
