Now, the star is all set to try his luck in Marathi film industry with Sanjay Dutt's upcoming Marathi venture 'Baba'. Deepak Dobriyal's character from 'Baba' that not just garnered appreciation from the audience, but also changed the perception of people from the film industry who thought Deepak would be fit only in Bollywood films. While speaking to Etimes, Deepak, said " I have done several Bollywood films and audience have always appreciated my roles. But Marathi cinema has given a new break which is a new journey and I love this journey. I am playing a very interesting character in the film and one can say that I am playing a titular role in the film."When asked about his role in the film, he says "The fans have always appreciated by acting and comic skills but my debut Marathi film, 'Baba' is a very special film, where the entire plot of the film revolves around father and son. I am playing a titular role in the film, who is mute. It's a very heart touching story and I feel so fortunate that I got chance to play such role"While backing other star cast from the film, he said " It was a very challenging role for me and especially when I am doing in Marathi, it was not that easy. I got lot supports from co-stars Abhijeet Khandkekar, Spruha Joshi, Nandita Dhuri, who have established names in the industry"The story showcases the life of a couple staying far away from a bustling village (played by Deepak and Nandita). By grace, their world is silent yet they are very happy and contended. They have an eight-year-old adorable son (played by Aryan) who also does not speak.The Marathi venture, directed by Raj Gupta has Deepak Dobriyal, Nandita Dhuri, Abhijeet Khandkekar, Spruha Joshi, Chittaranjan Giri in its lead star cast. The film is slated to release on August 2, 2019.
