aka PL Deshpande's life is titled as 'Bhai: Vyakti Ki Valli' trailer is finally out. The teaser and poster of the film had already created a lot of buzz on social since the time it was launched in the presence of politician, Raj Thackeray. Now, the makers of the film have finally unveiled the trailer of the film.

Mahesh took to his social media handles to share it with his fans. In the trailer, Mahesh Manjrekar has shown the world of Deshpande and his brand of humour with his best-known works like ‘Mhais’, ‘Ek Hota Vidushak’, ‘Tujha Aahe Tujapashi’ and ‘Batatyachi Chaal’ getting fleeting mentions. The filmmaker has picturised the most memorable moment of PL Deshpande' childhood, his emotions, his love for music, literature, script writing, and acting. The film features some of the most prominent personalities of the time, the most noteworthy being celebrated writer and politician Prahlad Keshav Atre aka Acharya Atre and a young Bal Thackeray, who later went on to form Shiv Sena.

Sagar Deshmukh, whom we saw in the lead role in the Marathi film ‘YZ‘ 2 years ago, will be playing the title role in this film and Iravati Harshe will play his wife’s role.

Speaking to ETimes, the filmmaker, Mahesh Manjrekar said, "Purushottam Laxman Deshpande’s works are still unknown to this world, so we tried our best to bring his life on big screen and he was such personality that, the great leaders of India were eager to meet and listen to him. So we have total of 70 characters in the film."

PL Deshpande was a legendary figure in Marathi literature, best known for his satirical take on socio-political happenings. Besides being a writer, he was a music composer, actor and scriptwriter as well.

Mahesh Manjrekar's directorial 'Bhai: Vyakti Ki Valli' is produced under the banner of Viacom18 Motion Pictures and is slated to release on 4 January 2019.
