Now, 17 years later, the team is set to reunite for a sequel, which also marks Chaudhari's return to direction after 12 years. He last directed No Entry: Pudhe Dhoka Aahey (2012). Titled Punha Ekda Saade Maade Teen, the film will see Saraf, Jadhav and Anaspure back together. Along with them, Siddharth Jadhav will also be part of the film that is being backed by people incuding Ameya Khopkar and Ninad Batti.

Fresh from winning accolades for his acting in Maharashtra Shahir (2023), Ankush says returning to direction is a big challenge, especially with a sequel like this. "I am elated to announce a sequel and, at the same time, I think it's a very big responsibility to live up to the audience's expectations with a film that is so popular. We are going to give it our best shot and I am sure the Marathi viewers will shower love on this film too," he says.

While other details about the film are under the wraps, it's interesting to note that this will be the second Marathi film from the 2000s to get a sequel. A sequel to Navratri Mazha Navsacha (2004) is also set to release soon.
