, but actor Ankit Mohan is now looking forward to

Mann Fakira

, a film that, according to him, let’s him be himself.

According to Ankit, who has also been oart of Hindi shows like Kumkum Bhagya and Mahabharat, this role comes closes to him in real life. He shares, “After two historicals and another one coming up, this was a much-needed breakaway for me to let people know that I can do other roles and not just historical characters. The character in Mann Fakira is how I am in real life.”

The film, which marks Mrunmayee Deshpande’s debut as a director, will see Ankit in a very contemporary look and character. Ankit, who has worked with Mrunmayee in both his previous films, says, “We were shooting for Farzand when Mrunmayee was working on this story. After Farzand, she asked me to just hear it and I had my fingers crossed hoping she would ask me to be a part of the film. Thankfully she was considering me and I am glad I could do this role.”

Besides Ankit, the film also features Anjali Patil, Sayali Sanjeev and Suvrat Joshi.
