Anjali Patil calls society hypocritical at Filmfare Awards

Award (Marathi), Anjali Patil bagged a Filmfare Award for ���The Silence��� directed by Gajendra Ahire.

The film deals with bold subject of child sexual abuse, within the family. She was seen in a special appearance in Deepika Padukone starer 'Finding Fanny' and made her Marathi debut with this film. While receiving one of the most coveted awards on stage, actress broke her silence and without mincing her words she called society hypocritical.
She said, ���It was a pleasant surprise. ���The Silence��� went worldwide but I wasn���t releasing in India. Sexual abuse in childhood still needs to be addressed and this film should help in the endeavour.���

'The Silence' also stars Nagraj Manjule and Raghubir Yadav in important roles.
