' will know of its director Alfonso Cuaron���s skills. On the other hand, those who have watched the
Marathi
film '
Court
' would know of director Chaitanya Tamhane���s golden run on the international film festival circuit.
Now, these two filmmakers are coming together in the roles of mentor and prot��g��. Cuaron will mentor Tamhane for a year on the craft of making films. ���It is a fantastic opportunity for me to be mentored by a director of Cuaron���s stature. I will be spending a year with him and am looking forward to learn a lot, bounce off ideas and more,��� informs Chaitanya. The 'Court' director was chosen by Cuaron from among a group of four probable prot��g��s through a personal interview.
Ask Chaitanya what they talked about and he says, ���Our conversation obviously revolved around cinema. He also said that he loved Court. Among other things he spoke about India and Maharashtra as well.��� So what does Chaitanya look forward to get from this association? ���A lot! I will be getting access to Cuaron���s perspective, his handling of the medium and so much more. In life, he���s been where I was once and I haven���t yet reached where he is today. So, it���s going to be a great experience sharing and learning from him. Plus, I am working on the script of my next film and am looking forward to his inputs on the same,��� concludes Chaitanya.
