Akshay Tanksale is used to shooting but since the last couple of weeks, he has found love for a different kind of shooting. The Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video actor is aiming for the bull's eye, literally, as he has taken up pistol shooting. "I'm adding another shooting experience to my portfolio," laughs Akshay, as he strikes Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec's viral pose for us.
Ask the Chowk actor what led him to take up this activity and he says, "I had done this at some game zones but I think it was India's performance at the Olympics that actually ignited the spark in me to take up shooting. My friend Vikrant Ghaisas, who is a national level shooter himself, runs a private shooting range at Gun Monkey's Armoury and I have been going there to practice very often."
Akshay says that shooting is an underrated sport. "I don't think a lot of people understand the preparation, focus and mental strength that goes into this sport. In the last couple of weeks I have realised the effort that shooting requires. I have fallen in love with it," adds Akshay.
