Akshay Kumar has started shooting for his debut Marathi film, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat. The actor has finally shared a glimpse of his look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his social media account. He posted a BTS video from the first day of the shoot.
The historical film, which is being directed by Mahesh Manjrekar is based on the story of seven valiant warriors. In an earlier chat with us, Manjrekar had told us, "Vedat Marathe... is a story of valour that needs to go pan-India and in a grand way. For that, we required a pan-India actor, and Akshay could pull off such a character with ease. So, he was my obvious choice."
Akshay has previously been associated with Marathi cinema as a presenter. He had backed 72 Miles- Ek Pravas, starring Smita Tambe and Chinmay Sant etc.
