Finally, at around 11:30pm, the results were declared. Kaccha Limbu, the Sonali Kulkarni and Ravi Jadhav starrer film had walked home with the coveted trophy of Best Film. The 2017 film had even taken away the black lady for Best Director, Best Actor in Leading Role (Female) and Best Lyrics for its song Maze Aai Baba by Sandeep Khare on Thursday evening.
The Best film award was received by Mandar Devasthali, the producer and his team, who were happy to have won the covered trophy. It’s director, Prasad Oak being away in UAE for work, could not attend the function. “I am missing Prasad Oak (Director) today who is in UAE for work. Prasad and Chinmay (Mandlekar) came to me with this brilliant concept. The entire team of the movie worked together well to bring this movie on screen,” said an ecstatic Mandar on the stage. Sonali Kulkarni, it’s lead actor was also equally overjoyed since the film had fared well at the awards and she too was honoured with the trophy.
Speaking on the stage, the actress said, “I am extremely thankful that I got to play this sensitive role in a very sensitive film. Such characters in movies are chalked out very rarely and I feel very lucky to have landed this role. A substantial merit for this film performing well goes to Prasad Oak who created Shailaja Katdhare (her character in Kaccha Limbu).”
Another film that did well at the event was
Muramba
which won a total of six awards- the maximum. Both the lead actors, Amey Wagh and
