Mrinal Kulkarni is celebrated writer Gopal Nilkanth Dandekar’s grand-daughter. GN Dandekar has the Sahitya Akademi Award to his credit. He and his wife Neera Dandekar had a daughter Veena. Veena Dandekar-Dev too was a renowned writer. Mrinal started her acting career with the television serial Swami which made her popular as Rama. Mrinal has even directed the film ‘Prem Mhanje Prem Mhanje Prem Asta’.
