Yere Yere Paisa 3

A coming together of a solid starcast to great fanfare, a comedy franchise that manages laughs but misses the plot.

Jaggu, Sunny, Bubby and Aditya are people struggling with vastly difficult situations. Their luck turns around when as a result of a series of confusing events a lump sum of money arrives in their lives as a one shot solution to their problems. The confusion created by their actions lead to hijinks and the four of them solve their crisis in unique ways.

Ye Re Ye Re Paisa, starts of high energy, and proceeds to ramp it up to a pace where it resembles a fever dream. In the packaging of the film as a comedy, the pacing takes a huge plunge. The primary experiential problem exists solely with the editing of the film. The story feels pasted together and often rushed. Sanjay Jadhav’s choice to use the split screen treatment to pace the story, leaves the audience in a tizzy.

The comedic timing of Siddharth Jadhav and Sanjay Narvekar does provide a fair respite, and Tejaswini Pandit shines in her role. But all of the humor is lost in the fast cuts and continuity errors riddled throughout the film.

This one is reserved for the fans of the franchise and the stars alone. Ye Re Ye Paisa 3 fulfills its titular promise but misses its mark for the audience.
