Luckee

Story: Luckee, a youngster, comes to Mumbai to study Mass Communication. In college, he falls for Jia, but little does he know that the journey is not going to be as lucky for him as he thinks it to be.

Review: If you have watched the trailer of Luckee, you would've seen actor Abhay Mahajan running around wearing just a tyre around his waist and nothing else. The reason behind this is presented in a fun way in this Sanjay Jadhav directorial.

The film revolves around Luckee (Abhay Mahajan), a college student, who life is full of bad luck. He comes to Mumbai to study and falls in love with Jia (Deepti Sati). One day, Jia catches Luckee staring at her and gives him a tight slap. The news spreads like wildfire in his college and soon, Luckee's friend Sanket (Mayur More) suggests Luckee to take revenge of the slap. This leads to a bet wherein Sanket challenges Luckee to convince Jia to fall in love with him. Excited, Luckee agrees, but ends up getting beaten up by Jia's boyfriend. Despite all this Luckee is still in love with Jia. Do the two unite? Does our hero do justice to his name?

Luckee is funny in parts and Jadhav has managed to pull of some good moments. However, the sub-plots get a little too much and hamper the overall experience. The idea of the lead actor speaking directly to the audience gives a sense of involvement, but not for long. The film is not very long but it could have been crisper to keep the engagement high.

All in all, if you are looking for some light-hearted entertainment, this Abhay Mahajan-Deepti Sati starrer is a one-time watch.
