Once More

Story: Ravi and Anjali are married but Ravi's busy schedule and Anjali's expectations from him cause them to drift apart. but a secret from the past changes things.


Review: 'Why do we marry', asks the film's protagonist in the opening lines if the film. Kapil (Ashutosh Patki) is married to Anjali (Dhanashri Dalavi) and believes that a husband and wife are enemies from their previous life. Kapil is an archaeologist and one day he and his team find an ancient trunk underwater. in that trunk he finds a dagger which, from the looks of it, has some magical aspects. Further research leads the team to Avadhpuri, a popular tourist destination now. they feel that there are remains of an ancient town there.


Coincidentally, Anjali's grandfather lives in Avadhpuri. More importantly, Anjali and the dagger are in Avadhpuri too. Call it fate or mere coincidence, but everything leads to this destination. Will Ravi find what he is looking for? And will he and Anjali reunite?


The story of the film is unique with elements of mythology and ancient history associated with it. To some extent, director Naresh Bidkar also manages to execute it well. However, there are too mamy ups and downs in the film that make it lose connect with the audience.


The actors do a decent job. Rohini Hattangadi in a double role (one male character and the other, female) is sincere, as are Ashutosh and Dhanashri. Bharat Ganeshpure and debutant Vishnu Manohar play typical roles, not adding much to the story.


Once More can be watched once (not more than that) if you are a fan of similar movies that have over-the-top portrayals and dramatisation.
