Marathi to have its own graphic novel

Faster Fene Screenplay writer Kshitij Patwardhan is set to release his

graphic novel

as a producer in the second week of December. Although the concept of a graphic novel is fairly common in English, it is still unique in Marathi.

, this fantasy adventure takes place 700 to 800 years ago on an island called ‘

Darya

’ which is also the name of this novel. One of the lead characters in the story is said to go by the name of Shantaram. The novel is set to have 60 illustrations made by Amirkhan Pathan. Along with Marathi, its English translation is set to release at the same time.

A cinematic teaser for this novel has been released on the social media which is featured in Neena Kulkarni’s voice. Patwardhan seems to have embarked on this unique adventure after tasting success in his crime mystery thriller FaFe which became a box office hit.
