Samskruthy wants to play a killadi girl

Samskruthy Shenoy is usually known for her sweet and soft spoken girlfriend characters, even in her Tamil and Telugu outings. One would imagine she is most comfortable in such characters, but guess what? The teen star recently revealed to us that her greatest wish is to play a ‘killadi’ kind of girl!

“I have no interest in doing the same kind of roles over and over again. The heroine roles scripted for me are invariably about looking good and delivering cheesy dialogues. I would really love to do a killadi girl, who behaves in a vaada podaa manner with her guy. It can be a romantic role but the character has to be such that everyone is a little scared of her, including the guy. I have seen such characters in Tamil movies, not so much in Malayalam, though. It doesn’t matter to me which language I get the role in,” she says.

Meanwhile, Samskruthy has been roped in by V K Prakash for his next film titled

Marubhoomiyile Aana

. “The film is a comedy, and Biju Menon is a sheikh who comes to Kerala. I play a teenager called Keerthi, who is a schoolmate and crush of the character essayed by Krishna Sankar of

Premam

fame. Lalu Alex plays my dad and my scenes are set in a village in Thrissur,” she says. Although the film is a comedy, her scenes are somewhat serious, she adds. The actress has gone to Qatar, to shoot a song sequence.
