Swapaanam's music going viral

Jayaram starrer Swapaanam, in which the actor plays a chenda artiste, is grabbing attention online for the brilliant usage of Kerala's musical tradition. The Shaji N Karun film has nine songs, including Swati Tirunal and Ramasasthrikal kritis.
Carnatic musician and composer Sreevalsan J Menon, who had earned an Oscar nomination last year for the music of Vinayan's Dracula 3D, is the composer of the film.Swapaanam is the story of a chenda artiste named Unni, whose talent was not acknowledged while he was alive. Bengali actress Kadambari plays the female lead in the film.
