Savithri Sreedharan's debut music video will be released on World Music Day

National Award-winning actor Savithri Sreedharan is making her debut in a music video
‘

Urmila

’ – produced by Calicut-based music group Anupallavi along with the production house
Sisyphus Rocks Films.

The song featured in ‘Urmila’ is written by

Sreelakshmi Chandran

and composed and sung by

Reshmi Aravindakshan

. The script for the video is written by Gayathri Jayakumar and directed
by Ajay Govind.

“I had just finished a project with Savithri ma’am and when I heard the story of Urmila, I saw
a wonderful opportunity to work with her again but I knew this time the approach would be
different. Since it was music video, there was a lot of scope to just improvise and watching
her perform effortlessly was a treat.” said Ajay Govind.

The video was shot by Rahul C Raj and edited by Krishnaprasad K.

“As a team, we knew we didn’t want to create a video with a run of the mill romantic story.
The fascinating character of Urmila and her story of sacrifice became the starting point to
weave a story about a young girl and her grandmother,” Gayathri said.
