Sanah Moidutty to release her next song on June 28
Malayali singer Sanah Moidutty became a name to reckon with in Bollywood by singing for the likes of A R Rahman. However, in Kerala, she is known the best for her cover versions of age-old songs that go viral in no time.
The singer, who has previously sung those like 'Ponveene,' 'Poomaname' and 'Syamameghame' will be back tomorrow with another ageless hit - 'Sreeragamo,' from the film 'Pavithram.' The song was composed by Sharreth in raag Kharaharapriya, and written by ONV Kurup.

It was sung by K J Yesudas. About the song, Sanah says, "Sreeragamo is a beautiful melody and it's spells nostalgia for me. I remember watching Pavithram, the movie multiple number of times. It has been one of those unforgettable movies for me because of its compelling story line, beautiful music, and stellar performances by the actors. When I had casually put up a question on my Facebook page addressing my Malayali friends and followers, asking them what are their favourite Malayalam songs and what memories do they have of that song, Sreeragamo was a collective favourite. This legendary song sung by Dasettan is just magical. The whole process of making this version made me reminisce a lot of things! I've tried to give this rendition my touch and have also tried my best to retain the beauty of the original. The arrangements are quite minimal with a traditional touch. It's in a very different space compared to the previous covers."
Sanah has sung in Hindi and Tamil for composer A R Rahman and also for a few other films in these industries. The singer who broke to fame with Rahman’s “Mohenjo Daro”, has lent her voice to several other composers including Vishal-Shekar, Sachin-Jigar, and Vishal R Khosla amongst others.
