Remya Nambeeshan’s version of ‘Kathalikkum Pennin’ wins attention

Actress – singer Remya Nambeeshan has been impressing her fans with her versions of various songs quite a bit, of late.

Most recently, she performed a cover version of the famous song ‘

Kathalikkum Pennin

Kaikal’ from the hit Tamil film ‘Kaadhalan,’ with musician

Rajhesh Vaidhya

and netizens have been applauding their effort. Wearing a traditional sari, jimikki earrings, complete with jasmine flowers on her hair and stylish shades, Remya looks quite cool in her ‘Kathalikkum Pennin’ avatar. Rajhesh’s cool veena performance adds to the oomph factor of the video, directed by Arun Vaidhyanathan.



Remya also has a couple of films coming up in various languages. In the upcoming film Peace, Remya will be seen in a role that has “grey shades” and is “cold-hearted,” according to her. Earlier, Remya had told us, “I haven’t done a lot of such roles and it’s after a long time, probably after Left Right Left in 2013, that I am playing a character with dark shades again. I don’t have many combinations with the other cast members of the movie, and my scenes were shot in the last schedule of the film, which has a rooted-to-reality story and a vibrant script.”
The actress is also playing an important role in Madhu Wariar's debut directorial Lalitham Sundaram. Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Aaram Paathira is another film that we might see her in.


Remya, who has quite a few releases coming up in Tamil too, will next be working with Prabhudeva again in a fantasy film. “I play a single mom in the movie,” reveals Remya. “It has a fantasy-based subject, which has the mom, her son and a spirit as the central characters. It shows the struggles of the mother, how the spirit comes into their lives and what happens next. The film's shoot has already started and I will join the team soon.”
