Mollywood: Pavada has three songs and its singers list is anything but conventional. Featuring two actors as vocalists among the three, the album has some masala songs to complement its fun family-drama premise. Though a debutant, its composer Aby Tom Syriac has managed to spice up the music enough to win a thumbs up for the album.
Jayasurya opens the score with Kuruthakedinte Koodane, a likeable tune peppered with wacky wordings by B K Harinarayanan, which make it catchy.
It will work best on screen, but impresses as a stand-alone song too with its foot-tapping pace and merry chorus.
Next in line is Paavam Paavada by K G Ranjith, another madcap number with a racing rhythm and bountiful energy. Its fun while it lasts, but forgettable as a composition. The final song, Ehalokajeevitham, is credited with the name Nedumudi Venu and its a lively number presented by an inebriated group of performers led by him. Their drunken revelry lures you to the track with effusive spells of energy and rhythm.
To sum up, the shelf life of the album stands unpredictable but it does have enjoyable songs that can beautify the movie sequences, for sure!
