His previous albums had some terrific tunes to boast of, but one doubts whether Bijibal has lived up to the expectations in his latest album, She Taxi. It has three tracks and as usual he has tried to offer a few fresh and simple tunes, but it looks like music plays sidekick in this film.
The best track is
Vezhambal with Vijay Yesudas taking charge.
It is one of those songs that can stream visuals within, just with its soothing audio and instrumental interludes especially in the intro portion. Its free flowing simple melody and Vijays rendition is strikingly reminiscent of his dads iconic yesteryear hits.
Next up is
Run Run, by Jassie Gift and Sumi. It cant be called typical though the song is high on the pep factor, and is a forgettable number on the whole. Rounding up the album is
Karinkallikkuyile sung by Sudeep Kumar and Akhila. It starts off pretty well with a catchy mouth organ and flute intro, but once the words start flowing, the song gradually fails to hold grip. It is an average composition by Bijibals standards.
The composers efforts to create tunes unheard of is appreciable and he generally succeeds in making them likable too. Sadly, he does not hit the mark in
She Taxi.
