recently came together for a beautiful medley of evergreen lullabies at Santhi Needam, a hub of musicians that regularly conducts musical mehfils during weekends. The music and its video, which has an yesteryear appeal to it, has been winning hearts of music lovers ever since the same was launched on social media.

The video of the same was captioned thus: A snippet of one of the segments from the regularly conducted mehfil at Santhi Needam, where musicians come together casually every weekend. Here it is a medley of 5 evergreen lullabies from Malayalam movies. The songs include ‘Oonjaale ponnoonjale’ written by P Bhaskaran composed by K Raghavan, ‘Thamarakkannan’ written by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboodiri and composed by S P Venkatesh, ‘Mele mele maanam,’ written by Gireesh Puthancheri and composed by Jerry Amaldev, ‘Kannum pootti,’ written by Abhayadev, and composed by Dakshinamoorthi and ‘Annaloonjal Pon Padiyil,’ written by O N V Kurup and composed by Ouseppachan.’

The singers featured on the video were Soumya Ramakrishnan, Sangeetha Srikanth and Daya Bijibal. The performance had guitar by Anurag R Nayan, piano by Daya’s brother and composer Bijibal’s son, singer Devadutt Bijibal. The DOP of the initiative was Prayag Mukundan and its editing was by Bijibal.
