The song isn’t in Malayalam but in Kannada, as the movie is completely set in the city of Bengaluru. It is composed, programmed and produced by Rahul Raj, who has also worked on its background score. Its lyrics is by Sulekha Kapadan, who has also sung the song.

Lalbagh, which has Mamta in the lead, had its shoot wrapped up in December in the year 2019. Mamtha plays a nurse in the film, named Sarah. Earlier, the team had revealed that the movie opens with Sarah’s husband’s murder, while a birthday party happens in their house. Sarah then joins hands with the police to track down the murderer.

Recently, Mamtha’s recording of the film’s song ‘Rumaal Ambili,’ which she did insider her closet, had gone viral. A soothing track, it is sung by Mamta with additional vocals from Zia Ul Haq.
