#LifeInTheLockdown: I really missed singing while at the Bigg Boss house: Amritha Suresh

She recently released a music video titled 'The Song of Hope'
Singers Amritha and

Abhirami Suresh

were making their presence felt in the Bigg Boss house when the show was suspended due to Covid-19. The sisters are back home, but aren’t just whiling away their time. Recently, Amritha released The Song of Hope, a track to help us through these unpredictable times, collaborating with musicians like Rajhesh Vaidhya.

She says, “It’s a musical presentation of rhythm. At a time in which we have lost the rhythm of life, I feel it’s an apt track to bring hope.” The track was shot before the sisters went into the Bigg Boss house and was planned for a later release. “But, we felt this is the right time to bring it out,” says Amritha. It’s composed by her guru Mohan Kumar.

Amritha often performed at the Bigg Boss house, but she apparently still missed singing. “I used to sit in the washroom and sing aloud when not many were around, for my own peace. I missed the recording studio too,” says Amrutha, who is still in touch with the show’s inmates. “Even today, I spoke to Sujo, Fukru, Arya and Raghu on phone,” she says.

What keeps her and Abhirami busy during the lockdown days? Amritha says, “We are into the pre-production works of our own music, and also planning new projects. For instance, as someone who used to dance and has also won State level prizes for it before leaving it altogether, I have a project in mind, in which I would also be dancing. There is another experimental music-dance project named Ohm Shanti, with only these words in the whole song.” The sisters are also busy with household chores. “Now that all are at home, cooking is a celebratory occasion here. Abhi cooks well, I just help her out, as what I like the best is organising things,” says Amritha.
