Ganagandharvan K J Yesudas celebrates 81st birthday

, who has given Malayalam and many other languages numerous hit songs, celebrates his 81st birthday today.

Many celebs have been wishing him a memorable birthday ever since midnight, on social media.
Wishing Yesudas on the day, writer – composer – director Sreekumaran Thampi wrote a sonnet, titled ‘Janmapunyam.’

Sharing the same via his social media page, Sreekumaran Thampi said, “Ganagandharvan K J Yesudas – my Yesu – is celebrating his 81st birthday. I wish him good health and peace on the occasion. Many years ago, I had written a sonnet about him, titled ‘Janmapunyam.’” The writer confesses that though it was once released, there was a mistake in it, and he wants to render the sonnet that goes ‘En Aksharangalkku Chirakukal Nalki Nee’ on the occasion to wish the singer, as he goes on to soulfully present it.

and others too wished him well on the day. Chithra wrote on her social media page, sharing a song dedicated to him, “Dear Dasettan, wish you a very happy birthday. Due to Covid – 19 restrictions, Yesudas won’t be visiting Kollur Mookambika Temple this year for the first time in many years on his birthday. Reportedly, he will be celebrating his birthday in Dallas, US, this year.
