G Venugopal sings for ‘Kaanekkane’

renders his melodious voice for the upcoming Tovino Thomas – Aishwarya Lekshmi movie ‘Kaanekkaane.’

who revealed the news recently through his social media page. Sharing a photo with the singer, Ranjin wrote: Venuchettan’s mesmerising rendition for the movie Kaanekkaane!!!
Meanwhile, Venugopal revealed that the song he sings goes ‘Paal Nilavin Poikayil’ and it is penned by Vinayak Sasikumar. He also shared a handful of photos from the making session of the song.


The film, directed by ‘Uyare’ fame Manu Ashokan, has screenplay by Bobby and Sanjay. The movie has Alby Antony as the director of photography and Abhilash Balachandran as the editor. The film, which also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Shruti Ramachandran, completed the filming in 38 days. The team had started production during the end of October 2020, following all the mandatory Covid-19 protocols.


The film’s lead actor Tovino had recently spoken to Kochi Times about its making process. During the break between Kala’s two schedules, Tovino had completed Manu Ashokan’s Kaanekkaane. When asked whether he had to retain his look in Kala for Kaanekkaane too for continuity reasons, the actor said, “Actually, no. This was a movie that Manu had discussed with me during the lockdown. In the film, I play a creative head of a marketing company who is a brilliant person and loves to keep changing his looks. Even in Manu’s Uyare, he wanted my character to not look like a quintessential head of an airline company. So, apart from the overgrown beard and hair, the characters in Kala and Kaanekkaane have distinct personalities; while one is soft-spoken, the other is domineering.”
