M Jayachandran has delivered a pleasant album that correlates to the feel of the film celebration through Cousins. Melodic singing spiced with oomph and interesting rhythms resonates through its tracks. A triumphant opening is ensured for the album by Kolussu Thenni Thenni, sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Yazin Nizar and Tippu. Energetic beats, charged yet melodic chorus, spicy touches at the right turns the track has it all to soak you in a celebration mood.
Neeyane Vinnila by Haricharan and Chinmayi, the only song penned by Rafeeq Ahamed, is a winsome duet, which might grow on listeners on repeat listens. There isnt anything unique about the composition, however, it has the potential to top the hit charts for a while. Kannodu Kannidayum by Sithara and Nikhil Raj is probably the track that would impress music lovers the best, for the uniqueness brought into the rendition by Sithara, and effectively complemented by Nikhil. The intro segment of the song, in particular, gives it a refreshing start for the sensuous dance sequence it features. If not a higher shelf life, Cousins songs surely has what it takes to top the music charts for a while.
