Veteran actress Sheela gets JC Daniel Award
The actress will be felicitated on July 27
Veteran actress Sheela becomes the recipient of JC Daniel Award, which is the highest honour for outstanding contribution to Malayalam cinema. The honour would include Rs 5 lakh, a citation and a plaque.
The award function, named after filmmaker JC Daniel, who made the first silent movie in Malayalam, will be held on July 27. Director Adoor Gopakrishnan and lyricist Sreekumaran Thampi were the earlier recipients.
