made news when it was announced that the film will have actor Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role.

The title of the film was revealed on social media recently, along with the title poster.

The film’s pooja was held on July 9., at Anjumana temple, in Kochi, and it saw the presence of Pranav’s parents- Mohanlal and Suchitra Mohanlal. Also seen at the occasion was actor Asif Ali and Tomichan Mulakupadam, among many others.

While daddy dearest's film from the year 1987 also had the same title, the poster of Pranav's film implies that there is no resemblance with the former and has a tagline, 'not a don story.'
