When it comes to acting, this young superstar has never failed to impress. He made his debut in the Malayalam film industry with the 2001 film, Nandanam. Prithviraj went on to deliver several major hits such as Classmates, Puthiya Mukham, Anwar, Indian Rupee, Ayalum Njanum Thammil , Celluloid, Mumbai Police and Memories. The talented actor also won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2006 for his outstanding performance in Vaasthavam, and once again in 2012 for Ayalum Njanum Thammil and Celluloid. His recent film Ennu Ninte Moideen also received several positive reviews.

The actor has also sung several other songs like ‘Vadakku vadakku’ from Urumi, ‘Njan’ from Anwar and ‘Oru kadha’ from 7th Day. In 2009, Prithviraj formed a production company called August Cinema. The film, Indian Rupee, co-produced by this production house won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam in 2011.

Family man

Prithviraj comes from a family that is full of actors – his father late Sukumaran, mother Mallika, brother Indrajith and sister-in-law Poornima are all a part of the Malayalam film industry. The actor got married to Supriya Menon, a BBC India reporter in 2011. The couple have a daughter named Alankrita Menon Prithviraj. With so many offers coming his way, Prithviraj is truly a busy man. However, the actor tries his best to make time for his family.

Impressive stint in Bollywood

This multi-talented actor made his foray in Hindi films with the 2012 romantic comedy film Aiyya. Though this film received mixed reviews, it managed to get the actor noticed. His second outing in Hindi, Aurangzeb received a positive response from the audience. In this film, Prithviraj essayed the character of a Gurgaon cop. With inherent shades of grey, this character got him the IBN Live Movie Award for Best Supporting Actor.
