There have been many films on friendship, but some have left an everlasting impact which has redefined friendship on the silver screen. Friends

Directed by Siddique, this film is one of the most acclaimed and celebrated movies of the year 1999. The film revolves around the friendship of three childhood friends. They value friendship over everything else, even family. The rapport and chemistry that the three protagonist - Jayaram, Mukesh, and Sreenivasan showcase in the film, sets an example for many. The climax scene of the film when the three friends unite together in an emotional situation makes this movie a must watch on friendship day.

A complete campus story that can make anyone nostalgic about their college life, the story revolves around the college graduate batch of 1991. The movie clearly depicts politics, love, friendship, and revenge that is usual in a normal college life. The bond of friendship depicted by the protagonists from the movie made the movie all the more special. It is one of the biggest blockbusters in the Malayalam film industry. Likewise, it also had an ensemble star cast consisting of Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Narain, Indrajith, Kavya Madhavan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Balachandra Menon and Radhika.

The film featured a stellar star cast which includes Kunchacko Boban, Nivin Pauly, Asif Ali, Rejith Menon, Aju Varghese, and Vineeth Kumar. The film centres on seven young men who play sevens football, popular in Malabar. The one aspect which stood out in the film was the bond of friendship between the seven protagonists. It showcases how things can make a huge difference when friends are there in our lives. The movie will surely inspire us to believe in and cherish a special bond called friendship.

A comedy film directed by Nadir Shah, which tells the story of three new-generation friends, Amar (Prithviraj), Akbar (Jayasurya), and Antony (‘Indrajith’). This movie turned out to be a blockbuster and besides the story of three friends, it also gives us a socially relevant message. The film was a money churner at the ticket counters and was a recipient of several awards.

‘Swapnakoodu’ sets an example of a modern day friendship and how true friends can do things to make life more interesting. Three friends, Kunju, Deepu, and Moorthy, come to Pondicherry to peruse their studies. Kunju and Deepu realise that they are in love with the same girl. However, their friendship is far beyond the love for a girl and finally one leaves his love for the other. The film was commercially successful with ‘Prithviraj’, Kunchako Boban, and ‘Jayasurya’ in the lead.

These characters are made alive by Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy and Nithya Menon with their brilliant acting. Bangalore Days won several awards at 62nd Filmfare Awards South. Likewise, the chemistry of the three cousins charmed one and the film received critical acclaim and box office success.
