Yogi Babu to star in Tamil version of Jack and Jill

Ace cinematographer and filmmaker Santosh Sivan’s next release will be

Jack and Jill

. The movie has Manju Warrier, Soubin Shahir and Kalidas Jayaram in the lead.

The film will also be released in Tamil and has Yogi Babu as part of the cast, says the filmmaker. “Though the story remains same for the Tamil version titled

Centimetre

, the experience of both versions will be different,” he says.

, Jack and Jill too will be a unique experience, Santosh says. “It’s a multi-genre film that I have wanted to do for a long time. I have got a group of friends from Loyola School, Thiruvananthapuram, comprising an IISc professor and doctors abroad. So, we talk about future, artificial intelligence, and all of that is part of this film. It’s also a contrast in a way, because I like this idea of a science lab in a kaavu (sacred grove) or when you fix an electrical wire, you hear drum beats in the neighbouring temple. Basically, it’s a young, fun movie.”
